Privacy Policy

Overview

Starlink Install Pro ("we," "our," or "us") is an independent installation company serving Orange County, California. This Privacy Policy describes what personal information we collect when you visit this website or request an install, how we use it, and the rights you have as a California resident.

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Space Exploration Technologies Corp. (SpaceX) or Starlink. We only collect information to operate our installation business. See the Trademark Notice for more on independence.

Information We Collect

We collect information in two ways:

  • Information you provide. When you submit the quote form or contact us, we collect your name, phone number, email address, install address, and any property or scheduling details you share (roof type, HOA constraints, dish model, preferred time window).
  • Information collected automatically. IP address, browser type, device type, referring URL, pages viewed, time on page, and approximate region — gathered through cookies and analytics tools for the purpose of improving the site.

How We Use Your Information

  • Respond to quote requests and schedule site walks or installs
  • Confirm, reschedule, or follow up on appointments by phone, email, or text
  • Document install details for warranty purposes
  • Improve the website, our service offerings, and our coverage map
  • Comply with legal obligations (tax, contractor licensing, permits)

Who We Share Information With

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share only what is necessary with trusted service providers that support our operations:

  • Form and email delivery — the provider that routes your quote request into our inbox
  • SMS confirmations — a text-messaging service used only for appointment logistics
  • Analytics — Google Analytics (configured with IP anonymization)
  • Scheduling — our internal job board, which stores name, address, and install notes

Each provider is contractually limited to the specific task they perform for us. We may also disclose information if required by law, court order, or government regulation.

Cookies and Analytics

We use first-party and third-party cookies to measure how visitors use the site (which pages are popular, where traffic originates, which calls-to-action perform). You can disable cookies in your browser settings; some interactive features may not work as expected without them.

Data Retention

We keep quote-request records for up to 24 months so we can pick up where we left off if a potential customer returns. We retain install records — mount photos, cable routing notes, signed work orders — for the life of the workmanship warranty plus the period required by California contractor and tax law. Outside those retentions, personal data is removed on request.

Your Rights Under California Law (CCPA / CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to request correction or deletion, the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information (we do not sell or share for cross-context behavioral advertising), and the right to non-discrimination for exercising those rights. To make a request, email the address below and include enough information for us to verify the request.

Children

This site and our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

Changes to This Policy

We will post any changes to this policy on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Material changes will be highlighted at the top of the page for 30 days.

Privacy FAQ

When you request a quote or book an install, we collect your name, phone number, email address, and install address. If you share details about your property (roof type, mount preference, HOA constraints, etc.) we store those with your request so the technician can prepare. We also collect standard web analytics — pages viewed, referring source, approximate geographic region — through cookies and analytics tools. We do not collect sensitive information like Social Security numbers, credit card numbers, or government IDs through this website.

No. We never sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share only what is strictly necessary with the service providers we use to run the business — the form processor that delivers the quote request, the email provider that sends replies, the text-messaging platform that confirms appointments, and Google Analytics. Each of those providers is under a contract that restricts them to the specific task they perform for us.

California residents can request access to, correction of, or deletion of their personal data at any time. Email the address at the bottom of this page with your request and we will respond within 45 days. We may retain job records tied to an install for warranty documentation and tax purposes, but outside of those legally required retentions we will remove all personal data associated with your inquiry or account.
